The DU Lounge
Related: Culture Forums, Support ForumsDon't know if many Loungers saw this, but RiffRandall passed away.
Not sure if the family wanted to be quiet about it, but it just seems like there should be a thread for her in here since she was a bit of a Lounger at times.

last post was in February.
She was pretty young and I believe left a husband and children.
(sorry if there was already a thread, I searched and couldn't find one)

(12,132 posts)I liked taking with her about music - we liked some of the same bands. Miss you Riff.

(55,007 posts)but she was kind when MFM passed and she had a presence in the lounge so I felt there should be a thread.

(80,708 posts)i had hoped she was taking a break from this place, but sadly it appears that was not the case.
...
She had a wicked, irreverent sense of humor and an inherent distrust of anything that resembles or claims authority, which is probably why we got along.
She joins a too-long list of good DU members, gone too soon.
She will be missed deeply around these parts.
Safe travels, friend.

(80,708 posts)Or, at least trying to with the rare occasional success.
I think she would appreciate this one.

(23,654 posts)Looking at all the faces, many still active posters. Some Old Timers, PPR'd. Others just stopped. Why? Life interrupts? We should cherish the time we have here with all our DU friends. While there may be serious disagreements about politics, we all want a better world, and there are so many other things with which we find kinship.
Bit nostalgic today. After reading about RiffRandall, then somehow I ended up reading Medical Admins last post, then looking at all the pictures. Just sending out hugs to you all.

(18,101 posts)I think you and her have a lot of the same qualities, even if you had different views on some things.
In_The_Wind had a thread a few days ago.

I think multiple threads is a good thing.
