Whew! It was 97 F in Boulder, CO today.

IN JUNE! It's weirdly humid, as well. I tried to take my dog for a walk and she looked at me like I was crazy. She won. It's almost 9:00 pm now and it is still too hot to open windows. In the past, I usually don't turn on the A/C until July and even then just during the day. Very unusual.

our official high was 99, a record for the date, and it's still 87 out. i can't afford to run the a/c, so it's button up in the morning and unbutton at night.

what's sick is that it's the time of year that i enjoy going into the office because at least it's air conditioned.

It just thundered right over my house and we got, like, three raindrops. That was it. I was so hopeful for a minute.

not even a threat. we've already had a couple of small fires and i'm worried about what the summer might bring.

i just checked the old farmer's almanac for grins and, oh boy, did they get it wrong.

I'm working in the Denver area right now and the heat has been excessive. It was nasty this afternoon when I was excercising outside. But not being from around here I have no idea what is normal weather wise. I've been here in August in the mid 1980's and the weather was the same then as I experienced today.

Not this early, not in June. Plus, it's a heavy hot, it's different. Welcome to the area, BTW.

not wearing pants on the patio should be a luxury, not necessity, this time of year.

Way, way, too hot for June. That is maybe in August kind of hot. High humidity is normal in the summer here.
We had the a/c on in March here this year. That is crazy. Usually late April before it's on for a day or two, then sometime in May all day, every day.
