About two months ago I found this little guy in my back yard. He was tiny. I had no clue how old he was. The next day I took him to the vet and he said the kitty was maybe 5 or 6 weeks old. I brought him home and was going to try to find a good home for him but he kind of grew on me. So I decided to keep him even thought I have never had a cat. But I couldn't resist the little guy.

(205,202 posts)Congratulations! And I certainly can identify. I stopped at the grocery store late one night summer before last and found my little guy (the vet said 7 weeks ) in the parking lot there. Obviously, he came home with me and the rest is history. I haven't regretted it for a moment...

(53,410 posts)You get him fixed. You may think you can resist, but you can't.
Your cat is adorable!

(1,728 posts)the hard way. But for now I think I have that problem solved. He now has two litter boxes and so far so good. He has an appointment with the vet next week to start getting his shots. We will discuss getting him fixed then.

Oh, sure, sure - play the innocent patsy who didn't know what they were gettin' into from the get-go.
He has the look of a serial killer plotting the demise of his next unsuspecting victim.
Enter into his web of cuddlesome cuteness at your own risk - but you have been warned.

(1,728 posts)a few weeks ago. I have been stuck at home for the last three months because of an accident at work. My neurologist just told me on monday that it will probably be a few more months if not longer before I can go back. If I was working I wouldn't have found him. But now I have a little buddy to hang out with.

(90,762 posts)He'll drive you crazy from time to time, but he'll do it with love. Cats are amazing.
I hope things get better for you and your health. He can help with that. Cats are very soothing.

(1,728 posts)I have gotten use to being stalked and attacked by my little kitty ninja. At first it annoyed me but now I get upset when he doesn't. He has me completely trained.

(4,640 posts)My latest foray:
I already have 4 adult cats. So, a week before last Christmas, someone dumped a litter in FRONT of my house, I'm guessing because they saw my big guy in the window. These babies were at BEST five weeks old when they were dumped.
Started out fully intending to home them. They're still here, so now I have eight!

(1,728 posts)I don't know if I could handle that many. But I am seriously thinking about getting little Artie a buddy.
DemonGoddess
(4,640 posts)Well, I didn't intend to have this many, but, I wasn't leaving them outside in the winter either.

(20,174 posts)You can give him plenty of attention now when you are home, but when you go back to work they can keep each other company. And kittens playing together are lots of fun to watch. Get them something high. Cats love to climb.

(1,728 posts)pics taken of him I swear he is posing for the camera now. I didn't realize how fast kittens grew before him. He has tripled in size just in the last two months.
That kitty looks very comfortable.

(4,940 posts)My Sassafras chased a dragonfly over the rainbow bridge last week; my first stop Saturday is our Pet Pride Cat Shelter (no-kill, no-declawing). I'll probably wind up with 3 more, Sassy was 3 cats in a 1-cat body. Rescue kitties are the best.
You will have so much joy from this little one!! I envy you! Congrats!
