Bata Kindai Amgoza ibn LoBagola
Bata Kindai Amgoza ibn LoBagola lectured about his life. Born in West Africa, he boarded a steamer ship at the age of seven, bound for Scotland, from there he traveled to the U.S. where he entertained at lectures with stories from Africa. His biography “LaBagola: An African Savage’s Own Story” was published in 1930. He was later revealed as a fraud. He was born in Baltimore and his name was Joseph Lee.
