"Animal Shelter Wants Pokemon Go Players To Walk Dogs"
SNIP
But Muncie Animal Shelter isnt looking for assistance rounding up stray Rattattas. Theyre hoping to get some volunteers to walk dogs, and since Pokemon Go enthusiasts are walking all over the place in search of Pokemon anyway, theyre the perfect candidates.
The idea is that they take the dog on kind of an adventure for the day, Phil Peckinpaugh, shelter director, told The Huffington Post.

Unfortunately, from what I'm reading they'll probably get the poor dogs killed. nt

Maybe the dogs will keep them from wandering into traffic or bumping into stuff.

(127 posts)4. I love this idea, but
I volunteer at the Oregon Humane and I would be afraid to do anything that distracts my attention from the dog while we are on a walk. Hopefully, they screen the dogs and only allow good walkers to take part. Even so, I find it difficult to even get a picture of the dog while on a walk because I feel like I need to be aware of not only the dog, but the surroundings, people, squirrels, other dogs and "dog" knows what else.
