Had a great Chianti some years ago (at a restaurant in NJ, with my daughter and her fiance at the time,) but I don't recall the name. Learned it was difficult to find. I'm fussy, want only SMOOTH. SOME Beaujolais do the job.

It's in one of those pear-shaped bottles covered in raffia. I haven't bought it yet because I'd be too tempted, once the wine is gone, to turn the bottle into a candle holder like in the movies. It wouldn't go with the decor.
Anyway, Chianti and Beaujolais are both good table wines when you don't want something too complicated. They turn my lips and tongue purple, though...
