Where do I sign up to get free or discounted items to review?

It seems like every other review I read these days includes a statement near the end that the person received the item for free or at a discount in exchange for a review. Have you seen these? Do companies seek out people or those who leave a lot of feedback?

I don't write very many reviews but I'm thinking of starting mine now with the phrase "I paid full price for this with my own money!"
