‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ Season Four Will Feature “Classic” Inhuman Characters

roduction is currently underway on the fourth season of Marvel’s Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. and it’s looking more & more like this will be the biggest season of the series yet. Speaking with iO9, series showrunners Jed Whedon & Maurissa Tancharoen discussed the future of the Marvel television series. While it’s clear that Robbie Reyes aka ‘Ghost Rider’ will play a big part in the season, expect Inhumans to play a significant part as well. With the movie being pushed back into Phase Four, this has allowed the series a bit more freedom as far as what they can use moving forward.

“We do have a little more freedom. We’ve told a couple of seasons of stories but now we do have some more freedom. So when we return to focusing on Inhumans, we’ll be able to do a little bit more.”

The showrunners then stated that this freedom would allow them the ability to use some of the “classic” Inhuman characters from the comics but they didn’t go into specifics as far as who we should expect to see. Whedon then went on to discuss the introduction of ‘Ghost Rider’ and being able to explain his presence in a way that audiences would believe. Don’t worry, he’s not going to be an Inhuman.

“It’s one of the reasons we think Ghost Rider will fit this year is that the cinematic universe is being opened up into that world. But, as we learned in Thor, the Marvel approach is that magic is just science we don’t yet understand. We’re going to have both the introduction of magical elements in our show as well as very hardcore science.”

Karnack is a bad-ass & needs little special effects to display his awesome power. He's an easy fit for a SHIELD appearance.

bit hill to climb there...

I could see a non-speaking character Black Bolt... with SHIELD having to figure who he is and what is going on...

His particular martial art & ferocious intellect is what makes him special. Remember he's never even been exposed to the the terrigen mists. He's all natural.

I hear Jackie Earle Haley is not doing anything at the moment.
