Just got out of Suicide Squad

Definitely worth a couple of hours. Loved the team members but the story was not the strongest. Joker was a combination of Cesar Romero and Heath Leger. I see this setting up a lot of future films. Definitely helps set up Justice League. I fell in love with Harley and Diablo.

1. Everyone I've talked to said it was gigantic preview for other movies with nary a script.

Professional critics have universally panned it.

Without seeing it yet, I predict only the actress playing Harley Quinn will actually get a spinoff.

4. Glad it sucks. I hate having a movie's PR shoved down my throat for months like this one was.

Every time I turned around there was Jared Leto's grill looking back at me.

It reminded me of Jennifer Lawrence in "Winter's Bone."

You just know some actors are going to be epic!!!

5. Not seen it yet, but I get the impression from non-spoiler reviews that it was very badly edited

So it's possible that a different, possibly longer cut could be more coherent.

I liked Margot Robbie, Will Smith and Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flag). And, Viola Davis was bad-ass as Amanda Waller. The guy playing Diablo was good as well. But, I do think some of the other characters weren't very well developed - Katana, Capt Boomerang (why did he come back?), Killer Croc... I thought Leto was good as the Joker, but I'm not really sure I liked how they used him in the movie.

It was a fun movie to watch. A one-off from the more soulful and darker ambiance of the DC movies scheduled over the next couple of years is my guess.

Its seventh-best opening weekend for a superhero movie might have a few critics (real ones, and the Monday-morning internet critics who haven't seen it yet "but just know it's awful" as well) looking for reasons as to pen another "why is everyone so dumb but me?" article.

Dead-Shot was a surprise (depth-wise), as was the antagonist being damned eerie and spooky.
