Read A Book Day The first celebration of Read a Book Day was around the end of the first decade of the 2000s and was almost certainly the idea of a librarian, probably one who was encouraging youngsters to read a book. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/read-a-book-day/Fight Procrastination Day Procrastination can really be the bane of our existence, with another day coming around the corner, theres no real reason that we cant put it off till tomorrow is there? Of course not, and tomorrow has another tomorrow, so lets do it again! It is by this way of thinking that absolutely nothing gets done, and we know good and well that procrastination is us out to get ourselves. But what can we do? Fight Procrastination Day reminds us that its up to us to beat this monster, and only we can decide to get up and get done today what was supposed to be done. https://www.daysoftheyear.com/days/fight-procrastination-day/

(111,944 posts)I barely made it through the newspaper article about the demolishment of the building in my apartment complex that caught fire a couple of months ago. The state fire marshal found the origin to be undetermined; however, when it occurred a couple of people told me that one of the air conditioning units that was recently installed was the reason the fire occurred. Considering that the people that installed it were not licensed it makes me wonder how much money was greased into the various pockets to get the fire marshall to come to that conclusion. Anyway, they are planning to rebuild since it appears that the insurance claim was settled.
