on the show... great scene in the pilot where she was watching the TV news and cheering when one channel gave a positive spin on her plane rescue, and jeered when another was negative. Definitely a switch from Superman (and Batman, for that matter) on the big screen.

The entire series stands or falls on the dual portrayal of Supergirl and (more importantly) Kara Danvers. Benoist nails both and instills the two-sided character with a humanity that Cavill's Superman hasn't even tried to touch.
