1). Big Genesis fan (the Hackett years prog Genesis, not the pop Genesis in the least). Saw the Wind & Wuthering tour at Winterland, which was virtually identical to what's on the "Seconds Out" album. The cover shows white lights beaming straight down. This was the part where Phil Collins stood under them singing the "Gods of Magog swarming around" section. It was definitely a sight to behold and the band...especially when Collins and Chester Thompson were drumming together...was outstanding.
2). Also love Echoes, but without a little THC to get me in the mood, it's not something I listen to on a regular basis. I do listen to the Gilmour-centric stuff like "Comfortably Numb." I just don't settle into "Echoes" as often.
3). Karn Evil 9...as a guitarist, I never got into ELP primarily for the lack of guitar solos. That said, I've recently re-discovered "Tarkus." If more of their music sounded like that track, I'd be a bigger ELP fan.
4). I like the first two KC albums and am a fan of everything else except Lizard (even Fripp has had second thoughts about that one). I lean more toward the Wetton-Bruford years. The "Road To Red" box is a jaw-dropper. In addition to the 2013 Steven Wilson remix of the "Red" album, there are MANY concerts. Some are cleaned-up soundboard recordings, but the core of the set is the 1974 material that made up the "Great Deceiver" box, plus "USA."
So I guess I'm going to have to go with "Supper's Ready."
