does anybody remember this cookie from the 70's?

it was like a suger cookie coated in powdered sugar and tasted lemony
(or maybe limey)

the box was yellow and green, a big cookie company, Nabisco, Sunshine or the like

my wife tells me i have imagined the whole thing

I love them. I still do and the closest I can find is a knock off store brand. And there are some copy cat recipes.

But the lemon coolers also had little chips of lemon in them. I found one recipe that makes the chips using Kool-aid but I have not tried them yet.

The girl scouts sold something like it a few years ago.

They were discontinued back in the 90's, but are back now under a different brand, well sorta.

Coolers-they're always lemon or lime with powdered sugar.

they come packaged in a clear plastic container that looks like you could just pour milk on them and eat like cereal.

none of the imitators are tart enough.

I have a recipe for something that tastes very similar, and they are super easy. Just make a lemony sugar cookie dough, roll into a log, and chill.

Slice chilled log into 1/4 inch discs, bake, and when out of oven, dust with powdered sugar. They can be lemon or lime
