The Simpson about to become TV's longest-running scripted series

Fox has renewed for seasons 29 and 30, pushing the series to episode 669. Gunsmoke held the record at 635 episodes.

The Simpsons launched in 1989. In its most recent season, the show still drew approximiately 7.2 million viewers.

Do you watch it? Have you ever? Love it? Hate it? Tired of it?

I've never been a big fan, to be honest. I've seen portions of a few episodes and clips here and there, but it never hooked me. I prefer Family Guy, but I don't watch that regularly either.

And that's pretty much it.

And you're right about Family Guy. One of the funniest shows on TV, and I don't watch that one either...lol.

but have watched very few since then. A lot of Futurama though. Family Guy is alright, Cleveland Show is meh, and American Dad was my favorite of the 3.

South Park is my shit.

Been watching since it was just the shorts on the Tracey Ulman show when Fox first started as the 4th network. I love the show. I do not watch it every week (I do not watch any TV every time its on), but I watch the Simpsons more than any other show. The greatness that is DVR had made it a lot easier to watch it.

I enjoy Family guy too. I watch it less than the Simpsons, but its also a decent show.

I still remember Simpsons being required viewing back in the day. Now I don't know a single person who can recall watching a new episode in years.

really like The Simpsons between 2001 and 2003, and the older seasons were also good. Nowadays, though, I'm feeling sort of lukewarm about it. I might watch it if Sunday Night Football isn't on and I remember, but I'm not watching it religiously anymore like when I was a kid. The episodes from the past decade are funny sometimes, but it has usually been corny and overly silly for my taste. When it comes to cartoons I still watch, I like Bob's Burgers the best. That show succeeds in being funny, yet isn't offensive like shows such as South Park or Family Guy.
