No doubt about it. Cena is following the same route to stardom as the Rock, using pro wrasslin' as a launching pad to Hollywood. Cena has a TV show, American Grit, that has been renewed for a second season. He's had small roles in a number of movies and has a leading role in The Wall (due for release in March).

I'm not claiming he will have the same degree of success as the Rock, but he's certainly not reliant on Vince and Linda McMahon for a paycheck. They value him for the WWE merchandise he sells, especially popular with kids. It would take more than a few Donald Trump jokes to jeopardize that relationship, IMO.

was pretty funny on SNL doing Obama as the Hulk. Obama had no connections to WWE wrestling, Trump does. Now that McMahon is on Trump's team I hope Cena doesn't wimp out and ignore the Trump issue. I know Cena knocked Trump being Trump on the Today show a while back but let's see what he does tonight.

Charles Augustus Magnussen in Sherlock, and the very Putin-like Russian president in House of Cards. He's got that role nailed.
