1. Incredible picture

Do you remember where it was taken? Was if Charleston or Charlotte? Or somewhere else?

2. From Reuters:

Protester Ieshia Evans is detained by law enforcement near the headquarters of the Baton Rouge Police Department in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, during a demonstration against the shooting death of Alton Sterling, July 9, 2016.

3. Thank You.

I remembered it was taken at a demonstration over a shooting death-just couldn't remember where-there have been so many the last year. The travesty election of 2016 has taken a lot of attention away from many of those murders. I'm thankful for the reminder to watch what happens with those cases.

4. Many call this our "Tianenmen Square" photo.

That is one of the strongest women I have ever seen anywhere, anytime.

Nothing but awe and respect.

5. Good thing they have their riot gear on.

She looks pretty menacing.

6. Storm troopers

I wonder if the storm troopers realize just how ridiculous they look?

8. When you're facing a line of them they look terrifying

Because one look at the hard protection they use makes you realize quite acutely that you have no protection. None.

9. I think that image is a strong argument for U.S. photo of the year

From the Middle East, it had to be this one:

Still makes me sad to look at his face.
