"show em pictures of your two headed kids, Ken" ("To Ken Kesey on Tom Snyder's late late show" after Snyder asked them about side effects of LSD use..). He has loads of interviews and stuff on the net, and he was hugely funny, amazingly articulate, and incredibly well read. Like a rennaisance kind of guy who could talk about anything at all.

-with a group of crazy teens-for some reason I don't have many clear memories. I do remember the wonderful time everybody was having, everybody dancing and singing along-the teens alongside the older "Hippies". It was Great!!!

He was so funny and sarcastic and biting. One of my favorites, when asked about being a spokesman for a generation, and protest singer and all that..."I'm just a song and dance man".

And he's got some really funny songs.

Just a few off the top of my head

Motorpsycho Nightmare
Bear Mountain Picnic
Bob Dylan's 115th Dream - "They asked me for some collateral and I pulled down my pants"

Peace

RANDY NEWMAN LYRICS
"Mr. President (Have Pity On The Working Man)"

We've taken all you've given
But it's gettin' hard to make a livin'
Mr. President have pity on the working man

We ain't asking for you to love us
You may place yourself high above us
Mr. President have pity on the working man

I know it may sound funny
But people ev'ry where are runnin' out of money
We just can't make it by ourself

It is cold and the wind is blowing
We need something to keep us going
Mr. President have pity on the working man

Maybe you're cheatin'
Maybe you're lyin'
Maybe you have lost your mind
Maybe you're only thinking 'bout yourself

Too late to run. Too late to cry now
The time has come for us to say good-bye now
Mr. President have pity on the working man
Mr. President have pity on the working man
