Assuming you cannot avoid the death!
I would! Because I would spend my last week differently. Take off work, etc.

(17,301 posts)I think I'd be too preoccupied with impending death to truly enjoy the time I have left. I'd rather not know.

(11,092 posts)To this day I remember how it felt when the hospice nurse said, " He'll most likely pass tonight or tomorrow." It was so shocking to hear and it crushed my last shred of hope.

(25,841 posts)It would be nice to know just how long I'm going to have to make my money last. And if I were to learn that my death is coming up relatively soon (as within the next 5 years) I'd definitely spend that time doing all sorts of things I haven't gotten around to yet.
Of course, that supposes that I won't be spending the next five years too infirm to travel.
And if I've got another 30 years ahead of me (and I'm now 68), I'll have to forego some adventures so that I can have a reasonably comfortable extreme old age.

could be a shock if it were in a matter of months vs. years.
You know, it would be interesting to see how old people are who answer this question..I'm thinking maybe 50-60 plus
would answer differently than a 30 year old?????
