...surely looks like that adorable baby is studying momma.

11. That's exactly what that baby is doing.

Mother cats do teach kittens to groom themselves, and they do it in precisely the manner depicted here. It is a blast to watch. Mom will wash her face, purring and mumbling to the kids, and when one of the kids gets the point and emulates her she will jump the the kid and lick it silly, then go back to grooming herself until another kid does the right thing and gets a licking from mom.

13. I have had lots of cats and kitttens over the ears, but...

...the only time we had a momma and babies was when I was about 10, which is 56 years ago (gawd!), so I have not had the recent joy of watching kittens "in school."

I could easily be a crazy cat lady if my husband were not around to keep that in check.
