I really agree with this.

I have a couple of friends that I can talk to, and they always shed light on whatever it is.

I can go away from them, with a much lighter heart.

Once upon a time (well over 30 years ago), our outfit was based in Boston, and a few of us drove out to Cape Cod to see what there was to see. One of the guys' wives was a whiny woman from Mississippi, and she didn't want to see any more. It took me 5 years before I found the time to make it out there again, but when I did, I was hooked for life. I mean, I love Hawaii and the Caribbean and the Seychelles and all those places, but after over thirty years on the outer Cape, I just feel at home there, and need my yearly Cape fix.

As for my life's companion, I may be slow and dense about a lot of things, but to not know how lucky I am to have her, I'd have to have less sensitivity than a sea mollusk (or Donald Trump).
