From 7:00 this morning, except it was, ah, let me check .... {brief delay} .... the National Philharmonic of London; Riccardo Chailly, conductor. 7:19, to be precise. I have a system in my kitchen that consists of a Pioneer tuner driving a pair of self-powered Umax computer speakers. It sounds much better than you'd expect.

Worn to work today, a Bailey Stampede. Nuthin' fancy; perfect for the Metro.

Mine is an older version that has a few differences from the current version. I'm trying to avoid posting a huge picture.

From Beethoven to cowboy hats. But it is the movement with the corral.

if people know only one operatic overture, it is that one.

I was going to post a Youtube video of it today, but I forgot until I read your post about what's his name, Bee-something.

The curse of old age: I write "Dobie Gillis" first, not "Maynard G. Krebs."

Tunnels? Forget it. Above ground? Too noisy. You have to turn the volume up too much and bring on hearing loss.

I SAID "HEARING LOSS."
