I watched, I waited, I watched, I waited. You had been hacked.
I read, and read, and read.
I decided to join about a week ago because I get NO Dem solidarity anywhere else.

I have a strong opinion. I am a strong female. I am a participator.
I am WAwannabe because I am newly divorced after 25 years married to a conservative
and I am nearly batshit. I will need a 420 friendly state as I plan to get high on life for a while.
Really, I just hope to settle where there are more liberal (sane) minds. So, I am planning my second big move across country but this time SOLO!

We lived in St. Joseph, MO from 1988-94. Moved there from California. Have been in Chapel Hill, NC for going on 17 years now. Great university town in a very blue county in what used to be a purple state. But the Republicans gerrymandered districts after the 2010 election and since 2012 they have set out to destroy the state. Doing a damn fine job, but Dems are doing their best to fight back. Throwing McCrory out and electing Cooper as Governor was a first step in 2016, but we have a LONG way to go. Republicans can do a lot of damage in four years.

Are you headed to the state of Washington? It's beautiful when it isn't raining, but damn, they've had a very gloomy fall/winter/spring this last year.

I came to DU because I was desperate to find sanity during the early Bush years. I googled Democratic site and there was DU. I was a lurker for years until I finally joined to be part of the online dialogues.

I love this place and many very important things came from it, although I usually take time out during Presidential election years. Too much blood. But then things settle down and I come back.
