My wife and 4 year old son are in Japan - my son is going to go to a preschool there for a month to improve his Japanese...so...I have free time!

I work right next to the Astor Place station, so Union Square is a good area, but midtown/downtown is fine too if there is a consensus (and that consensus is bigger than one person )
