for tomorrow, for the ‘morrow, for forever -
I’ve got things to do -
errands, pastimes, lazing around -
anything to put things off (anything to put it all off) (anything to put it off)

I wish you'd keep all three alternatives just as they are. Together they create an irresistible backbeat, murmuring of our inborn longing to put off the inevitable end.
