Any recommendations on a book about The Great Wall of China?

Thinking about Trump's Great Wall of America got me thinking about the Great Wall in China. First, about it's effectiveness (OK, technology has changed), but then also about the history and ideas behind it. I know it took about a million years to complete and it has absolutely no relevance to Trump's stupid and extreme planned waste of money...but I'm interested in the Chinese Wall.

I've looked on Amazon and can't really see anything that really appeals. But there must be something with a bit of substance.

So, if you have a suggestion, I'd be most grateful.
