Because I can't find anything similar using online translation (Google version).

"Do you understand?" translates on Google as "Czy rozumiesz?".

Other phrases, such as "Do you follow me?", or "Do you know?" are similarly quite unlike "Poney mayam"..., even when the audio is enabled.
