In the spirit of the *bad dreams* theme Lounge is having, here's mine this (morning?)

I don't want to disrupt the other threads about dreams, which are specific, so am talking mine with open invite about everybody/others.

I've come to accept dreams and let them go instead of getting prolongingly upset over them, even those really disturbing ones where we're dreaming we're awake and these horrible things are really happening. Besides the explanations from the past that they are just something we ate or that our fabulous brain is trying to keep us entertained to entice us to keep sleeping.

So, things are probably on our minds, therefore we dream. So I've lived in the same neighborhood for 25+ years and it was a quiet street, which was my main attraction here, but within 5 yrs of taking up space about three of the residents died or whatever and what used to be all single-family little houses changed at MY END of the street, with absentee landlords renting out to non-stakeholders in the peace and quiet and house flippers with their own agendas.

So, for 10-15 years I waged my private battle to keep the neighborhood quiet. It's a Residential Zone, but renters or flippers have tried to exercise business activities NEXT TO ME (while the rest of the street is quiet).

**********Now, getting to the dream: I dreamed that the two culprit houses at the end of the street were acquired in the pretext of being single-family, then (this is true: ) they started having parties, installed above-ground swimming pools. But here's the dream: Suddenly one of the houses had a weekend extra activity, with bulldozers, and the whole two-story house was picked up with giant cranes and then set down as a giant apartment-type building, and then the activity spread out into their next-door house, and it all kept ballooning and the dream kept on with then the whole neighborhood was turning into a mall, and not just a mall but a gigantic development of the megalopolis type with hundreds of stores with brick walls and entrances and construction workers going at it without breaking a sweat and everything popping up at a clip. And I was wandering though all these promenades and streets and happened upon an elderly woman who was rich and known as the main owner, who was holding a little meeting with about a half dozen employees, telling them the vision for the whole thing. And I approached her and said this was way outside the zoning ordinances and she dismissed the meeting and gave me her whole attention like this (I) was a problem she could explain away with her commanding presence, like I was a gnat... Oh, and then at the end, there was a high-birdseye view of my tiny house/shack surrounded by this gigantic mall/development.

**********End of (my) dream. Could be a diabetes medication, recent change of?
