This kind of heat is abnormal. I leave a leaky hose out for the critters.
I have javelina nightly, some deer, many rabbits--all need water.

and our 100+ run will start this time next week. Ugh. June is our hottest month here and I hope the state doesn't burn down before the monsoons roll in.

Still, 100 with humidity <10% is easier to take than 90 with high humidity. I usually make do with just a fan, drinking 3 liters of fluid a day when it's this hot.

with a lot of cash in the bank and can afford to open a store or something, sell bits and pieces to the locals in summer, cash in on the ski tourists in winter.

100 degrees here and people hide inside. The heat index will hit 115 and it's just crippling.

and why I live in the mountains. The altitude is why we don't suffer like Phoenix.

Or a least in my now heatblasted memory. Already touched 100 two weeks ago. 95 today and humid so that it's pretty well awful. Usually it takes till late July to be this hot here but this year it reached 100+ temps by May. It looks like steady mid to high 90's for me. Ten day forecast shows the coolest day is listed at 88 w/ a chance of rain.
