(9,527 posts)There is no set feeding time. It's always potentially feeding time so her bowl must be kept freshly topped off.

(5,730 posts)most do get really anxious when the bowl is low. She eats Science Diet and really thrives on it. However, she gets a tablespoon of tuna or wet good cat food around 530. She starts knocking things off the dresser and tables by 630

(176 posts)got up for 6am feedings and he will not let it go, and tries to get it at 4 or 5am. He plays "piano" with my window blinds to wake me...it works like a charm. And if I don't get up instantly, he jumps on my stomach...this is a 16 pound cat! Now I have paw-print bruises across my body...gotta love him though.

(34,131 posts)And if the cat is around I will feed him so he will let me go back to sleep until I have to get up. He's got it figured out - my husband generally wakes up a couple of hours later and the cat has him convinced that I never feed him in the morning. He's been getting a second breakfast for months now.
We don't begrudge him though - he's fifteen years old and has been trouble keeping weight on but will only eat a spoonful at a sitting. So he really does need the extra feedings. Now he's working on ways to get brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner and a late night snack.
