Ugh, I'm conflicted

I sent a tweet earlier today trolling a Republican senator for being a hypocrite. Yeah, an easy target, I know. Well a deplorable with a Pepe avatar came along and liked my tweet. Now I am ashamed of sending a tweet that was liked by a member of America's scum bags. I'm not sure if I want to keep the tweet (as it was a damn good tweet) or if I want to delete it due to the shame of saying something a proud deplorable also liked.

Any opinions here, DU? I am not going to link the tweet or provide any other info, though, as I don't crosspost between my DU and Twitter accounts.

started to notice they screwed themselves over by voting for trump. It could also be another person trolling the repub site using Pepe as a cover.

My daughter is incredibly intelligent (she is getting her PhD right now) but is so focused on her area of study that she has fallen behind on current events. She is a liberal through and through, but last month she started tweeting using the Pepe avatar. I had to point out to her what that avatar signified and she was horrified when she realized.

So not everyone knows what Pepe the Frog signifies. I recommend giving the person the benefit of the doubt until they prove themselves otherwise.

It's possible they "liked" your tweet in order to flag it for other frog trolls.

Curious what you wrote that could make a Pepe-type endorse it.

I looked it up because of your post. I learned something new. But I wouldn't get too concerned. I never look at someone elses profiles to see who has "liked" a comment. I doubt anyone will notice. But if bothers you, just delete it.

How Pepe the Frog Became a Nazi Trump Supporter and Alt-Right Symbol

4chan’s Pepe the Frog meme was wildly popular among ‘normies’—until white nationalists decorated him with swastikas and gave him a Trump button.

The green frog was behind the United States side of the metal fence at the country’s southernmost border, smirking and holding a Donald Trump campaign button up to his chin.
A caricature of a Mexican couple—the man dressed in a sombrero and poncho, the woman with braided hair and an infant in her arms—looked out at him through the barricade and cried.

Like, they're going to start making fun of "libtards" or whatever term they want to use, so they've liked your tweet to mock it later. Check that user's twitter feed and see what the content is like. If you don't like it, block'em.

Also, maybe they're trying to mock the pepes? Sarcastic? Facetious? It's hard to know without seeing their feed in context.

So if they're straight up pepe kek bullshit, block'em. If they're satirical, let it go
