And a friendly reminder that the IRS will NEVER call you and ask for money over the phone.
Always verify who is calling you.

(26,259 posts)I'd turn up the TV volume and set the phone down, next to the speaker. Then I'd leave it to Jack McCoy to deal with the problem.
Now, if I don't recognize the number, I don't answer the phone. It is AMAZING how many people who call me, don't ever bother to leave a message.

(26,259 posts)Not from the DNC, not from the Hillary campaign. I normally would get a 'don't forget to vote' call, on election day, but this year- nada.

(45,426 posts)I've done that to some organizations that I donated to but then they kept calling a few too many times.
If the DNC does it too many times, I'll ask them to put me on their do not call list. They send a ton of mail and emails too.

The Sanders campaign called, before the primary, but afterwards - nada.
I did disenroll from the DNC emails because I found their strategy to be ridiculously "click-bait"ish, and I told them so. I had forgotten about that, so maybe that was the trigger for them not calling, but not the local headquarters.
