Love ox tail soup, and make it when I can. Super easy in a crockpot. n/t dixiegrrrrl Jul 2017 #4

I finally met her a few years ago.
I walked in her house to ox tail soup with dumplings, curry chicken, some kind of snapper dish in a red sauce and one more dish for the life if me I don't remember.

They were all wonderful, but I went back for the ox tail.

Shaped like a small baby carrot. And chewy. Damn they were good.

Back in the day (pre-1979) before I abandoned red meat and pork, I used to make a mean steak and kidney pie. I doubt those prices because a beef patty with one serving is at best $140 in Jamaica. We buy chicken or veggie and they cost more.

Are those one serving pies and where are they sold in those islands. I'll have to ask my red meat eating friends but I don't even know where those are sold in JA or T&T. Trini has some lovely pies but those are sold around roti shops and are one serving pies.

Laughing at myself - been busy this week making broth and a variety of soups for a good friend dealing with chemo
