Which Meryl Streep movie did you like best?

Kramer vs. Kramer was very good. I never got around to seeing French Lieutenant's Woman.

My favorite just has to be The Bridges of Madison County. It was thrilling and I thought Clint Eastwood was just superb.

I just saw "Florence Foster Jenkins" and enjoyed it very much.

I think "Sophie's Choice" may have been her greatest role, but it was just so tragic.

She stood out in small roles in the beginning of her career like Holocaust and The Deer Hunter.

where Streep was excellent.

I cannot say that I am a Streep fan but she was top rate actress in Sophie's Choice.

I get its tragic nature and all. but all sad plays and movies aren't uncomfortable, IMO.

Sad and tragic and Sophie's bf was such an ass.

Been maybe 20 years since watched and I would again but in right mood.

Streep is pretty good at light comedy, turns out.
Surprisingly Huge Grant is quite good in it.
And "howard" from The Big Bang Theory does well.

I have a copy, watched it 3 times so far.

In the early '90s, she was in a romantic comedy with Albert Brooks called "Defending Your Life." It's a wonderful story about what happens when we die. It's a terrific love story without violence, sex or profanity. It's almost like a '40s or '50s film. The story is funny, the acting is excellent and the musical score (by Michael Gore, I think) is effective. I highly recommend it!

Loved the scene in the night club where the comic is bombing onstage. He asks one of the people in the audience "How did you die?" Brooks yells "On stage, like you!"

An incredible masterpiece based on Tony Kushner's Broadway play. Ms Streep played several roles, including a Mormon mother and an elderly Jewish rabbi, but her best bit was as Ethel Rosenberg, come back from the grave to be with the detestable Roy Cohn as he died "in shit" of AIDS. An almost perfect work of art, starring many other outstanding actors, but Ms. Streep was the best.
