Thanks to Kali for a public service alerting us to PhotoBucket's being DEAD TO US and to steve2470 in that thread for the tip of a replacement (Post Image dot Org). The pic below is my first try at PostImage, haven't explored it extensively. So, since there is NO DRUMPF shocking news tonight (I keed, I keed!1), decided to do busy work, below.
So the ring with the German cross was a flea market item. I wore it for awhile, and the German surgeon who operated my fractured fibula wore a medal one hanging on a neck chain. I’ve never cared to research the Biker connection to Nazi(?) junk, which made me nervous, so the Google said there’s a difference between a MALTESE cross, which has eight points, and the IRON CROSS which was a German MILITARY medal, different from the NAZI thing that was an Iron cross WITH A SWASTIKA in the middle.
So, I glued a resin MATI (Greek anti-EVIL EYE) the size of a dime on top of the cross on the ring and have worn that for the past couple of years. But last week the Mati got unglued and lost. So either was going to ditch the Iron deal, or wear it, or glue something else on it.
So I dug around in my junk box and found a fleur de lis from a flea market Boy Scout bracelet, the size of the fleur perfect to cover the cross, and stuck it on the ring, which could use some cleaning and shining up.
