Just got back from a four generation camping trip. What a great time.

I went to the lake with my daughter, one of my sons, his wife, 4 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.

We did tent camping at Lake Ouachita, a beautiful spot in the Ouachita National Forest. We roasted hot dogs and marshmallows, swam in the lake and collected quartz rocks and pine cones. Cooked a lot of good food in the cast iron Dutch ovens. We had a bit of rain Fri night, but weather was great, otherwise.

I got my Senior Pass which gives me discounts for fees at National Parks and other federal recreation areas. It's only $10 for a lifetime pass. (The price goes up to $80 later this year.) It might be something to check out if you plan to visit any of those places.

Yes, it is a beautiful, clear lake. We've had enough rain that everything is still green, Arkansas Granny Jul 2017 #7

My oldest granddaughter has lived out of state for several years and is ready to spend some time with family. We all had a great time.

and growing. The kids are good campers and we were able to show them a few bugs and plants that they didn't know.
