I want to write this screenplay, and I thought I would throw the idea out here

Scene: In a very powerful country (this is fiction, let's call the country "Kirillion&quot ) a very popular "populist" divides one of two political parties allowing for the "bad guys" party to retain and even increase power.

What would I call it? Any title ideas?


Mind you, this is fiction, I am NOT alleging any person in real life fits this description. This is merely an idea for a screenplay.

I thought showing the aftermath of a Nazi styled party solidifying control in the most powerful nation on earth, would be where most of the story could be.

It will be a heavy drama, but think about it: gay people rounded up for being gay, black people same, Muslim's as well. Education reduced to for profit religious idiocy. Every citizen on edge every minute in fear of nuclear war and being at the mercy of corporations with zero regulations as to environment, employment, etc.

The eventual ultimate chaos in the streets, would make for a GREAT movie, dont you think?


Equally interesting is seeing worldwide who gains when Democracy loses. I really think this would make a great FICTIONAL movie. Might have to be one of those with intermissions, could be 3 hours easy.

Who wants to help me write it?

3. I couldnt watch season 2 of man in high castle or whatever it is called

season 1 was fun because it was fiction

season 2 was after the KGB used on the ground russian spies to steal our election and the show was no longer fiction, i havent watched season 2

Same with Handmaid, we are there in the minds of about 50 million of us who WANT that world.

But my thread is merely about writing a screenplay about this idea. Probably nobody would go see the movie, why go see what you are living already.

You might want to read a short story by Robert Heinlein titled "If This Goes On-"

It has some ...disturbing... themes/parallels to what is going on now, although with a more theocratic bent, but still cautionary.

Interesting reading in any case.
