I can check with him tonight after he gets back from rehearsal, but I know he had major problems with the Apple Store. He couldn't use the store to do app updates or download any new apps it totally refused to load. They just released a patch and I know he installed it. He had to borrow my Mac laptop, go through iTunes to get the patch. I'll see if it's working for him now.

Before updating to iOS11, go to Settings>General>About>Applications to make sure there aren't any apps listed that you can't live without.
