MLGW union provides meals to 600 families in North Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Six hundred hot and hearty meals were provided to families in North Memphis free of charge by MLGW union workers.
“We just feel strongly that this is Thanksgiving, this is what the holiday is all about. Giving back, about sharing what you have with other people,” said Bill Hawkins with IBEW Local 1288.
A community member said if it weren’t for this meal today, she doesn't know what she would eat.
“What would I eat? I couldn’t even answer that right now,” she said.
