I remember that at one time people said that with the introduction of computer technology that people would be freed from the tedious activity of work. Yet, the opposite has actually occurred and people now work longer and harder than they did in the past. It's not likely that TPTB will allow for the loss of their power, but the Venus Project does have the correct idea.
