Athletes and entertainers are perceived as stinking rich, wealthy basstids. Homes in Malibu, mansions here and there, nightclubbing, big cars, tabloids, flashy clothes and jewelry, etc.

Sure, not all of 'em make the big coin (I have a few relatives in the biz and they do OK but they aren't rich), but enough of them do that we think of them all as lumped into a bigass pile of WEALTHY.

I think you do better with the grocery store worker, the garbageman, the teacher, the nurse, etc. We relate to those people. They're us, they're our neighbors.

which is MUCH more than those "stinking rich" athletes and actors. But yes I understand what you're saying.

too--and unless we can undo the whole Money Equals Speech thing (geez, I must be muzzled because I don't have that Big Money) we need a few deep pockets on our side of the fence!
