Cuba has the second highest standard of living in Latin America beating all capitalist nations in the region except Chile, and is grouped with First World nations in the "very high human development" category

Compared to what?

People in Cuba do not have freedom, they do not have food, clothe, good education regardless of what the Cuban government claims, they don't have good healthcare, the one that is supposed to be good is only for those in government and foreigners who are willing to pay big money for what they believe to be good healthcare.

I have many friends who have visited Cuba, remember that records in wikipedia can be added by anyone...the facts are very different.

Does "High Standard of Living" include being imprisoned for saying anything the government may find derogatory?

La Havana is in shambles, buildings are falling, it is not even the shadow of what it was long ago before Castro.
