About 'economic' and social issues

This distinction between "economic" and "social" issues functions as a maintenance mechanism for liberal ideology. By artificially separating the economic and the social, the liberal is allowed to examine the various social ills of capitalism without questioning the base assumption of capitalism itself.

1. Support for the well funded frontrunner requires that we maintain the separation.

We are to believe that the supposed strong support of social issues matters so much that we can forgive the war vote, the outsourcing, and the problems with inequity.

As you suggest and others concur, the two are inseparable.

What good is equal pay if it's not a living wage to begin with?

We're better than this. Much, much, better.
