1. A possibility for more Ghibli.

I've called up Netflix and suggested to them of straight out paying for a Ghibli feature film and showing it exclusively on Netflix for a time. They have enough money that they could bankroll it and it would generate a lot of goodwill.
This would also be a great way for Netflix to make in-roads in Japan in terms of VOD which I'm sure has a good deal of firmly established providers already.
My only condition on this would be that I would love to get Lossless audio for it, at least in Japanese. I have a connection that is fast enough to do it. Obviously I think Netflix will support 4K for this without question.
The only thing that may be sticky about this for Ghibli would be the picture quality. I'm not saying Netflix couldn't offer a great picture. The concern that I think Ghibli and, by extension, Miyazaki have comes down to the users. Some people, given their connection speed, will not have the greatest picture out there which I think is the great concern they have. They want this to be an experience.
That being said, I would still like to see it happen and it would honestly benefit all parties concerned to a great extent.

Two last comments. To offset the user problem at the beginning, Netflix should suggest viewing parties at friends houses who have an extremely fast connection. Additionally, for the first week or two of the premiere, have streams available that match Miyazaki Blu-ray's for video as well as 4K Blu-ray's for the 4K. Lastly, it wouldn't hurt, for some extra punch, to offer an Atmos track during the same promo period. While I know it would definitely put a strain on Netflix/Amazon's servers at the time I repeat my earlier point on positive PR for the parties involved. I must add though, that they should encourage people to watch it via wire to make sure the stream is as smooth(high bandwidth) as possible.
But yeah, contact Netflix if you want this as they do listen. I have been pressuring them to do a Japanese Drama and they actually did it!!!! It's called "Atelier" and has been done in cooperation with Fuji Television who are notable for "Densha Otoko" and other J-Drama's.
