Reminds me of every dog I have ever seen who was waiting patiently for its special human to return. A kind of focused, still intensity.

Do you use acrylics? I tried painting a bird using acrylics and I hated the way it came out - couldn't control the lines or values and it looks all flat, so will probably go back to oils. It must take some practice, seems to work for you.

It's the medium I feel most comfortable working in. I've recently been teaching myself watercolors. Not an easy medium to master!
