A friend is putting out feelers for me to get sketch artists

As some of the artists herein know, I am looking for the simplest portraits.

My goal is to test illustration of my fictional stories.

I am going for fairly sparse looks. If i need more detail, it’s easy to ask. my view is adding is easier than erasing.

As a bonus, i might discover some real talent.

I can scan in a scene into the computer and then play with it in a photoshop environment, then I can just do a few action shots of my characters and put them in accordingly...

i've been working on these stories for years, and finally decidid to just pkay with the art myself...gonna try and self-publish online by new year

Just happen to know a few professional illustrators so I needed to know your objective.

But the real reason for posting was to (1) welcome you onboard and (2) ask....are you close to carbon tetrachloride? I was quite enamored with CTT 50 years ago when I marveled how well it cleaned oily parts, while giving me a bit of a buzz.

1. i am in a time zone and latitude 150-300 miles from places of higher learning. i haven’t seen an original artist in months. I haven’t spoken face to face to more than 1 native English speaker in 13 months. Maybe 2 if I include a man from Jamaica.

2. i have had zero income this time . So i choose carefully on my extra expenses.

3. my friend has issues at home in his distant city . if i can give him a sense of accomplishment, it can give him a life.

4. costs are likely to be lower here.

my story is not for publication. i only do this to supplement my story outline.

as a bonus, all of my family has a good eye for modern art. we just can’t draw
