You’ve rendered a lot of objects seeming to be interacting with the edges of your canvas which is not easy to do successfully because of the distorted view it gives of the dining room. It has a restless quality to it as if the objects are ejecting themselves off the canvas. I really like that interaction as well as the strong colors which tend to keep the viewer’s eye back on the canvas. Your rendition is very interesting and captivating all in itself. I like how it works so well with its tug of war quality. It works quite well! I like it a lot because you have been successful in your rendition. It brings to life the fact that the edges of the painting are as important as the center. In this painting nothing is forced into the center. So many lines running off the edges give the painting a lot of dynamic movement and your choice of strong colors give importance to all the parts of the canvas and gives it the stability it needs in order to be successful.

As you know I love your “interesting” paintings!

If you look at Matisse’s paintings of rooms you will get what he’s doing right away! He influenced me more than any other painter ever did! I love him!
