Deep in my past memories, I remember Agnes Moorhead standing out in this film.

I think I would put this up against Citizen Kane any day. Certainly the cinematography is stunning. The dance scene stands out.

And, of course, there's the wonderful Joseph Cotten, one of Welles' staple castings. (Check out The Third Man some day.)

Of course, Citizen Kane is also on the menu. The two are iconic.

Beatty's work on Heaven Can Wait is fun, ably assisted by the Three Broomstick's Madame Rosemerta -- sorry, Julie Christie. And yes, Mason's voice is iconic. A very fun flick.

is Jack Warden, providing fine support in the role James Gleason had in Here Comes Mr. Jordan. A heart-tugging performance.

As for the rest, I too am a Joseph Cotten fan and will have to find a way to watch The Magnificent Ambersons.

And circling back to both James Mason and Carol Reed (director of The Third Man), everyone also needs to see Odd Man Out, directed by Reed and starring Mason.
