in the mid 90s. It was a really great show...danced tons. I love Love!
Jim Morrison said he wanted to be "bigger than Love some day" when they were starting out at The Whiskey.

They were really constrained by the format, other bands there kind of an ensemble deal. Bet they kicked ass when you saw them.
Read that Arthur Lee gave Hendrix inspiration that a black man could succeed in rock.
Just a great band.

It was so odd that they passed away within weeks of one another.

I just read this..."He began to tour regularly with a backup band comprising former members of Das Damen, and LA group Baby Lemonade." It made me think of Syd and your post.
