the alarm - love don't come easy (studio - 1989)

Speaking of bands that should've been bigger than they were ... this whole record is freaking great (it's masterfully produced by a studio legend, Tony Visconti), and did have one minor hit (Sold Me Down the River), but ... The Alarm deserved to be bigger than they were. They were amazing live, too ...

This is one o' my all-time fave songs ...

But every other song is good-to-great.

This is another favorite from Change ... deep album track!

Strength of course was also amazing, and Declaration has a ton of good tracks ... Eye of the Hurricane was an overall weaker effort but the good songs ... are really good.

From their debut Declaration (1984) ... I recall buying and listening to this record and towards the end being like ... hey, that was pretty good, I think I like these guys ... and then this closing track came on and I was like ... SOLD! I definitely dig these guys! And then I played the song like 5 times in a row ... the main riff that kicks in at the 1 minute mark is just BADASS, and the 4 min - 5 min span is one of my all-time favorite minutes in all of rock and roll ... then the outro is awesome. I don't care what anyone says, this is one of the greatest songs of all time:

From Strength (1986), actual song starts around 40 secs, if vid hangs at :48 like for me just click it a second past and it'll play okay ...
