(5,311 posts)...he also played with Buffalo Springfield.
I own what's left of Buffalo Springfield drummer, Dewey Martin's modified Camco drum kit, which he used when he recorded "For What It's Worth" and the rest.
The first band I was in, in 1978, was called Scott Thomas Lowe & Atascadero. I was a background vocalist/special fx performer. In the picture below, I am on the Very Far Left, Dewey is center-right with the goofy tilted-head pose.
Dewey Martin was Atascadero's first drummer, and when he decided not to be the drummer, after about a year, by 1979 or so, he left the band to go back to being an auto mechanic - he sold me his Oak Lawn badge Camco kit; and after two or three replacement drummers that didn't work out, I became Atascadero's drummer.
In the meantime, Jim Fielder became the recording studio bass player for Scott Thomas Lowe & Atascadero, so I got to record some Atascadero songs with Jim.
In any case, I'm a big fan of Blood Sweat & Tears!
